FAQ

Is this the same as Leadership Academy? No. While both programs focus on leadership development, they have different goals. Next Level Leadership programs are shorter and focus on specialized leadership skill development. The Leadership Academy is a more comprehensive leadership development program. MASBO will continue to offer both programs, alternating between the Leadership Academy and Next Level Leadership every other year.

Who can attend? This program is open to all MASBO Active members, regardless of their role or position.

Are there any prerequisites, such as graduating from the Leadership Academy? No. There are no prerequisites to participate. However, because enrollment is limited, graduates of the Leadership Academy will receive priority registration.

Is the program in person or virtual? Will sessions be recorded? The program includes two full-day, in-person sessions, one virtual group kickoff session, and three virtual Learning Community coaching sessions. Participants will also reconvene at the MASBO Annual Conference for a final gathering.

Because the program is highly interactive and discussion-based, sessions will not be recorded.

Credits
MASBO credits will be issued for attendance at the two in-person sessions, for a total of 12 credit hours.
