Description

This session will take an in-depth, hands-on look at the three primary reports associated with Minnesota special education funding:

  • Comprehensive Aid Report
  • SEDRA Report
  • Tuition Billing Report

Each attendee should have access to these three reports during the course—if you are not the person in your district who currently works with these report, please get access to them prior to the session.  Included during the review of these reports is an explanation of the lesser of the three options in Minnesota statute and where the numbers come from, EDRS code sheets, excess cost aid and special education transportation.

Completion Criteria

To complete this workshop and receive the 3 MASBO and BOSA credits, you must attend no less than 90% of a session to be marked complete, and take the course test after the session is complete. A link to the test can be accessed by clicking on the Completion and Certificate button.  A score of 70% or higher on the test is required for successful completion of the course toward your certification program requirements. This session will be recorded for on-demand viewing for 90 days after the original presentation date. Certification Program Requirements

The Minnesota Association of School Business Officials has established a voluntary certification program for all MASBO members and nonmembers. The courses are designed to train current and prospective school business officials, and offer practical information to assist members in excelling in their profession.

All Certification Courses are open to all members, but an application for the Certification Program must be completed prior to attendance for course participation to apply to the program.
