Alyssa Parr

Alyssa Parr, PhD, is a research associate at the Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement (CAREI) at the University of Minnesota’s College of Education and Human Development. In April 2020, Dr. Parr graduated with her PhD in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh where she wrote her dissertation on white teacher candidates’ learning about racial equity in teacher practice. Dr. Parr is currently leading CAREI’s research and outreach with the Minnesota Statewide Longitudinal Education Data System (SLEDS) and the evaluation of the Academic Collaboration and Coordination Model to Ensure Student Success in STEM (ACCESS STEM) partnership supporting students with a demonstrated financial need in pursuing STEM careers. In addition, Dr. Parr contributes to various other evaluation and technical assistance projects in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Education and Office of Higher Education.
