Darcy L. Hitesman (J.D., with honors, University of Minnesota) advises clients regarding the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, and state insurance laws. She represents employers and employee benefit plans of all sizes and types (for-profit, non-profit, governmental entity, single employer, multiple employer and MEWAs), including third party service providers, health care providers, plan sponsors, employers, and benefits consultants. Ms. Hitesman is a frequent speaker to both legal and non-legal audiences on various employee benefits topics, including Health Care Reform, Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs), HIPAA, COBRA and FMLA topics, co-authors ERISA Compliance for Health & Welfare Plans, and is a contributing author towards Self-Insured Health Plans, published by the Thomson Reuters / Employee Benefits Institute of America (EBIA).
