In addition to overseeing one of Minnesota’s largest student transportation systems, Troy Schreifels leads districtwide Security and Emergency Management for Osseo Area Schools with a steady, practiced hand. He directs all prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery efforts across 30+ school sites, ensuring the safety of more than 20,000 students and 3,000 staff. Troy spearheads districtwide implementation of the I Love U Guys Foundation’s Standard Response Protocol, modernizes emergency plans, and coordinates training for administrators, staff, and school resource officers. He oversees access control systems, security technology upgrades, threat and vulnerability assessments, and the district’s emergency communication platforms. He is also responsible for designing and managing large-scale exercises, reunification planning, crisis response coordination, and interagency partnerships with police, fire, EMS, and county emergency management teams. Whether navigating severe weather, facility incidents, or high-stakes school safety events, Troy brings calm leadership, clear decision-making, and a traditional no-nonsense approach rooted in consistency, preparedness, and proven best practices.
