Description

MASBO Institute is a comprehensive introduction to all areas of school business management. It is intended to be a foundation for those new to the profession as well as for those already in the profession to gain a wider overview and perspective of school business functions. The Institute will be held in a hybrid format with recorded content, two half-day live webinars, and two full-day in-person sessions. To complete the MASBO Institute, at least 90% of each live and recorded session must be attended or viewed, and all in-person sessions fully attended.

Register by January 31 to receive the Institute binder with printed materials by mail prior to the start of the Institute. Registrations after January 31 will be provided printed materials at the onsite program.

Credits: A total of 18 MASBO credits will be offered for the Institute. For live and recorded online sessions, your viewing is tracked by the Learning Center. Credits for each session are granted if you have viewed at least 90% of the session.

Successful completion of the Institute requires attendance at all sessions and the viewing of all recorded sessions. Registered attendees will receive an email notification once the recorded sessions are available in the Learning Center, along with links to access the live virtual session. The in-person sessions will all be held at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest in Brooklyn Park, MN.

  • Course binder mailed to you (if registered by January 31)
  • In-person sessions, with lunches and breaks
  • We hope you can join us at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, for a social event with appetizers and networking with other attendees.

Please note that MASBO reserves the right to require safety precautions such as masking or distancing, or to revise the event format based on health and safety guidelines or concerns.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received by the MASBO office at least 48 hours prior to the event are eligible for a refund of the registration fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received fewer than 48 hours prior to the event.

Audio/Video Policy: Registration and attendance at, or participation at association events constitutes an agreement by the registrant to association’s use and distribution of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes of such events and activities.

Code of Conduct: MASBO is dedicated to providing a welcoming environment for all participants, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, or religion. MASBO will not tolerate harassment of event attendees in any form. Those violating these rules may be sanctioned, expelled from the event without a refund, and/or excluded from attending future events, at the discretion of the organization.
