2027 MASBO Institute

The MASBO Institute is a comprehensive learning experience designed to give school business professionals a strong foundation across the many areas of school business management. Whether you are new to the profession or an experienced professional looking to expand your knowledge, the Institute provides valuable insight into the roles, responsibilities, and functions that support effective school district operations.

The Institute combines practical learning with opportunities to learn from experienced school business professionals and connect with colleagues from across Minnesota. The hybrid format includes recorded content, two half-day live virtual sessions, and two full-day in-person sessions, providing a flexible and engaging learning experience.

To successfully complete the MASBO Institute, participants must attend or view at least 90% of each live and recorded session and fully attend all in-person sessions.

Register by January 31 to receive the best registration rate and have your Institute binder with printed materials mailed to you before the program begins. Registrations received after January 31 will receive printed materials at the onsite program.

Credits

Participants can earn up to 18 MASBO credits by successfully completing the Institute. For live and recorded online sessions, participation is tracked through the MASBO Learning Center. Credit for each session is awarded when participants attend or view at least 90% of the session.

Successful completion of the Institute requires participation in all live sessions, viewing all recorded sessions, and full attendance at the in-person sessions. Registered participants will receive an email notification when recorded sessions are available in the Learning Center, along with links to access the live virtual sessions.

All in-person sessions will be held at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received by the MASBO office at least 48 hours prior to the event are eligible for a refund of the registration fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received fewer than 48 hours prior to the event.

Audio/Video Policy: Registration and attendance at, or participation at association events constitutes an agreement by the registrant to association’s use and distribution of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes of such events and activities.

Code of Conduct: MASBO is dedicated to providing a welcoming environment for all participants, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, or religion. MASBO will not tolerate harassment of event attendees in any form. Those violating these rules may be sanctioned, expelled from the event without a refund, and/or excluded from attending future events, at the discretion of the organization.
