Description

This session will take an in-depth, hand-on look at the three primary reports associated with Minnesota special education funding:

  • Comprehensive Aid Report
  • SEDRA Report
  • Tuition Billing Report

Completion Criteria

To complete this workshop and receive the 3 MASBO and BOSA credits, you must attend no less than 90% of a session to be marked complete, and take the course test after the session is complete. A link to the test can be accessed by clicking on the Completion and Certificate button.  A score of 70% or higher on the test is required for successful completion of the course toward your certification program requirements. This session will be recorded for on-demand viewing for 90 days after the original presentation date. Once the session has been viewed live or virtual, you have 30 days to complete your test to put towards certification.  

Certification Program Requirements

The Minnesota Association of School Business Officials has established a voluntary certification program for all MASBO members and nonmembers. The courses are designed to train current and prospective school business officials, and offer practical information to assist members in excelling in their profession.

All Certification Courses are open to all members, but an application for the Certification Program must be completed prior to attendance for course participation to apply to the program.

Paul Ferrin is currently the supervisor of the special education funding and data workgroup at the Minnesota Department of Education. He has worked at the department for 5 years in various roles including monitoring special education expenditures and providing data analytics to the special education funding workgroup.
