This session will cover important information about the transition of several existing data submission systems as well as new data elements for the 2021-22 school year to Ed-Fi. The presentation will cover the status of the Minnesota Automated Reporting Student System, the Minnesota Common Course Catalog, and the Early Education Student data submission as well as collecting Digital Equity Information, Student Support data and 21st Century Learning Program Participation information.

Tara Chapa is the Ed-Fi Technical Support Specialist for MDE. Tara has been at MDE for three years. Prior to joining MDE, she worked as a MARSS Coordinator at a district. Tara's current work focuses on supporting districts as they transition to reporting information to MDE via Ed-Fi.
Gayra Ostgaard is the Data Management and Student Accounting Supervisor at the Minnesota Department of Education. She has been at MDE for seven years and prior to joining School Finance worked as the Data Governance Coordinator for MDE. Her team of nine people is responsible for many of the data the systems districts and charters report funding related data to MDE including but not limited to MARSS, transportation, and PSEO data.
