Cathy is the Executive Director of the Minnesota Association of School Business Officials (MASBO), bringing more than two decades of experience in school finance to the role. Prior to joining MASBO, she served as Director of School Finance at the Minnesota Department of Education, overseeing areas including school funding, levy certification, financial audits, aid payments, budgeting, special education, and facilities. Cathy previously held leadership roles with Duluth Public Schools, the Arrowhead Regional Computing Consortium, and Lake Superior School District, and taught school finance as an adjunct instructor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in management from the College of St. Scholastica and is a longtime contributor to MASBO and Minnesota’s school finance community.
Jason has worked at MDE for the past three years as the levy coordinator. Prior to that, he spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. With the last seven year of his career, identifying the required manning in each career field to aid in developing the Air Force's and Department of Defense's annual budgets.
