Overview of tax terminology, levy components, and timelines. The majority of the session includes how to budget property tax revenue and perform year-end reconciliations on property tax revenue. IMPORTANT: As part of this course, attendees will need to have access to their Pay 23 levy report. Please either bring a printed copy of your Pay 23 levy or a laptop for you to access it. All other printed handouts will be provided onsite to attendees.
Topics will include bus types and sizes, bus maintenance, owning vs. contracting, contract specification, purchasing laws, safety programs and fuel storage. Year-end allocation (mileage vs. routes, other funding sources), and calculating rates and chargebacks will also be covered.
This course will explain the general ed components, including what they are, and what types of expenditures to code to each. The session also covers how state aids are related to the different systems. It will be offered as a live virtual session utilizing Zoom.
Topics include personnel policies, hiring procedures, job descriptions, performance appraisals and pay equity reports. Labor relations, contract administration, staffing projections and legislation affecting personnel and EEO coordinator will also be covered.
