Mary Barrie is an Educational Specialist who returned to the Department of Education after her retirement to work on a temporary assignment to oversee the federal grants for Expanded Summer Learning and Summer Academic and Mental Health programs. Prior to her retirement, she was the Supervisor for High School Initiatives. Mary has worked in public education for three decades and earned her Doctorate in Education Policy and Planning from the University of Minnesota. Mary has been working at MDE since 2012.
