"Becoming our Top 20 Selves" focuses on the importance of Social and Emotional Intelligence. Sometimes our inside life is effective, which we call being our "Top 20" selves. Sometimes our Social and Emotional life is ineffective, which we refer to as our "Bottom 80" selves. Both are natural and normal parts of the human experience. This training will help attendees identify when they are operating as a Top 20 and As a Bottom 80, and suggest ways to navigate though life more effectively when experiencing "Bottom 80" moments.

Secure Act 2.0 was signed into law December of 2022. With 92 distinct provisions and 358 pages, this large piece of legislation will be broken down into a simple to understand presentation so as administrators you know exactly what is happening and how to properly comply. Our team will also comment on provisions we can expect to see future changes on in the near future.

We all know that the "historic funding" from the 2023 Legislature may have been a large number to many, but it also came with mandated expenditures. And the funding increases that did come came after years of limited support. In this session, you will learn tactics and messages on how to tell your side of the story and balance the legislative rhetoric to help communicate referenda messages, navigate employee negotiations and other issues.

This "all audiences" interactive session will walk participants through a simulated cyber-attack using various cyber and fraud scenarios. The exercise is gamified using live polling to measure both individual and group awareness and readiness.

In this session we will look at the different types of fraud strategies being used, the best practices for protecting your funds and the different ways you can receive payments that may mitigate fraud activity.

This presentation will cover the basics of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), one of the most popular and beneficial federal employment laws. The presentation will address employers and employees who are covered by FMLA, situations in which eligible employees can take FMLA leave, and special provisions for school employees. This presentation provides basic information about the FMLA to anyone in a position who supervises employees.

On Monday, February 6, 2023, Arrowhead Regional Computing Consortium (ARCC) experienced a ransomware attack. ARCC Executive Director, Cindy Olson, will tell you the story of the attack, and how the Threat Actors warned them not to contact the police and why. She will explain how ARCC staff were able to work with their bank and school member districts to meet payroll and other deadlines, all while dealing with their cyber insurance company. consultants and the FBI (to report the crime). She will also share how ARCC is doing things differently so this won't happen again! Join Cindy and her Board Chair, Steve Anderson, for a light hearted discussion of a very serious issue.
